Multiple images overlap to reveal an episode of life. The content may depict a regional landscape or figures in an expressionistic style. The paintings primarily explore and illustrate life, the understanding of that life, and ideas through colors, impasto texture, depth, and shapes, and within those frames, what is created is a responsive work of art. I start my paintings with an idea, impression, or a live image; this is used as a guide, knowing that eventually, the painting will take on a life of its' own. As I guide colors and textures...
