Sapelo is a name taken from the beautiful island in Georgia. The island has a clean crispy beach, bright sun light, green lush trees lining the secluded beach with decaying barren trees lying spaciously alone the vast beach.
The painting represents moving from a destructive year to a hopeful year. A person in the background looks on and forward is placed in front of sunlight . The Sunlight represent a hopeful new year of 2021. The trees are symbolic of decaying trees that soon will be part of the past.
